Soybean Field Days Scheduled for September
HARRISBURG, PA (August 27, 2019) – Farmers interested in soybean production are invited to attend a free field day to see the results of research into various crop management practices being conducted in real-world conditions by farmers on their own farms. The events are presented by Penn State Extension with a grant from the Pennsylvania Soybean Board.
Field days dedicated to soybean production practices, inoculants and weed and disease management are planned for September 11, 2019 in York County and September 13, 2019 in Centre County. These free field day events are held on farms that are participating in soybean research conducted by the On-Farm Network, sponsored by a Pennsylvania Soybean Board checkoff-funded research grant.
During the field days, the host farmers will discuss soybean management on their farms and Penn State Extension crop specialists will be on hand to discuss the research and answer questions. Farmers will have the opportunity to view fields where research is being conducted. For all events, a light lunch will be provided. Credits are available.
